Review of Tucker and Dale vs. Evil (2010) by Hung L — 13 Oct 2013
Pretty hit & miss for me. The one long running joke throughout the film (it's all a big misunderstanding) gets old very quickly, although the scene where Dale approaches the teens the first time is hilarious.
"Just smile and laugh." I've always liked both Tyler Labine and Alan Tudyk's work, even though they're not in much. They had good chemistry though and save this from being unwatchable.
I put Tucker & Dale in the same category as Shaun of the Dead, although I liked this a lot more. Those types of films to me feel like they're trying too hard to be funny though and never fully succeed.
