Review of Tucker and Dale vs. Evil (2010) by Brinn O — 04 Jan 2014
The kind of film where you don't expect much, at least nothing new. I guess it flew by me with that crappy name and a very typical setting, but I decided to give it a go after I read some more about it.
This film delt with clichees very good. It got pretty many of them, but there is a undertone here and a theme that puts it in a different mood. You get hillbillies, young students, blood, hot girls and easy laughs, but you also get some harder laughs as well. The story is so-so, but really good for this kind of film. The message is used before, but presented nicely. Some big flaws and errors does not really kill it for me this time, THAT's impressive. Absolutely one of the best funny-flicks I've seen from the past 4-5 years. Bowden also looks pretty darn amazing. Sweet lord.
6.5 out of 10 nice surprizes.
