Review of Tucker and Dale vs. Evil (2010) by Renzo V — 27 Jan 2014
"ONE CABIN IN THE WOODS. TWO HILLIBIES. LOTS OF MISUNDERSTANDINGS...".
- Another successful mixture of horror and comedy is this 2010 'Tucker & Dale vs Evil'. The classical horror story, about a group of young good-looking party people who go camping in the woods, gets a rather different twist due to the loads of misinterpretations and freaky accidents. This movie is 89 minutes of bloody entertainment. You're going to love these two hillbillies!
Chad and his seven friends are going camping in the woods of West Virginia. When stopping for gas, they get scared by Tucker and Dale, two well-meaning hillbillies who want to repair their little cabin in the woods. That same evening after the youngsters set up their tents, they gather around the campfire and Chad tells them the local legend of the 'Memorial Day Massacre'. Trying to forget this creepy story, the friends go skinny dipping in the lake. At that moment Tucker and Dale are in a boat doing some night fishing. When Allison is taking off her clothes on a rock, she gets startled by the two and falls into the water. Although Tucker and Dale safe the unconscious girl, the others think that they are kidnapping her and run off. The next morning the group decides to take action and head to the house of Tucker and Dale. When Tucker is sawing up tree logs, he angers some bees with his chainsaw and must run away. This makes the collage kids think he's trying to kill them...
