Review of Tucker and Dale vs. Evil (2010) by Brett H — 10 Nov 2014
Very funny spoof from start to finish with two of the most likeable leads in horror-comedy history! The whole story is a series of misunderstandings and it pokes fun at the genre and achieves with flying shades of red! Alan Tudyk and especially Tyler Labine are fantastic as lovable nitwits and their chemistry is pitch-perfect together! The film surprisingly has a lot to say about stereotypes and judging books by their cover, and seeing the reverse side to the usual "cabin in the woods" type of horror film is very original and clever.
It's all very silly, and most of the characters are complete morons, but it's all in good fun and when the violence hits, it's unexpected and ridiculous!
