Review of Tucker and Dale vs. Evil (2010) by James Z — 15 May 2015
"Tucker and Dale vs. Evil" is a spoof comedy about 2 rednecks going on vacation in the woods, who, through a series of unfortunate events, get mistaken for evil killers by a group of college kids, prompting the students to fight back and accidentally kill themselves, there for making it appear that Tucker and Dale are the culprits.
Now I'll start off by saying that this concept isn't exactly something that would be hard to think of, so I'm surprised it took this long for a movie like this to be made. That being said, "Tucker and Dale vs.
Evil" is an incredibly amusing film. Yes, it is essentially a one joke movie, but it's a refreshing take on the horror-comedy genre that provides surprisingly realistic gore effects (which I find funny considering this is a comedy), funny slapstick, good chemistry between the leads, and believe it or not, even some twists and turns.
