Review of Tucker and Dale vs. Evil (2010) by Kriss T — 20 Aug 2015
Thoroughly entertaining and one that is enjoyable to watch. It has the right blend of comedy and horror, and boasts a rather intriguing yet cliched premise yet portrayed in the most original way. It all boils down to how we judge each other and highly pokes fun at the way typical horror movies do this.
It gives you two sets of protagonists to route for but soon focuses on those you actually want to care for. It switches the typical story and brings the usual antagonist as the sympathetic central focus.
The performances are strong as is the direction and writing however the editing at times isn't as tight as it could have been. This was a surprisingly fun film filled with gore and many laugh out loud death scenes and is certainly one to watch on a quiet, chilled night in.
