Hmmm. mixed feelings about this. You do slightly forgive the main character for his behaviour given his background, but then I find myself annoyed by this. If we forgave every person who is a c*nt because they had a bad childhood, then every serial killer and pychopath would be off the hook.
Cute baby though.
