In the wake of the success of NewsRoom, Vanderbilt tried to reprise it with a sterling lineup of A actors: Cate Blanchett was magnificent (this by far tops her performance in Carol), veteran Redford, a non-conformist Topher Grace, and the colonel, Dennis Quaid.
Had this been processed by Sorkin I think it would have been a bigger success but if you liked the Big Short, you will like this one.
