Great acting and great story. After some research, learning that this is closer to the truth than what we saw on CBS as well as right-wing extremists, I have figured it out. The documents were never the issue - the calls and other evidence shown the truth.

But the right-wing media is great at changing the focus and staying on it forever. The "liberal" or "progressive media" are willing to admit mistakes in detail - which the right uses against them.

The right is always right, no matter what. The progressive media - which may be right or left - is weak because it admits that nothing is iron-clad. This isn't what journalists were trained to do since the first School of Journalism was founded in Columbia, Missouri over a century ago.

Instead groups of people, claiming to be journlalists with no agenda other than the truth. The law firm CBS asked to look into the issue in this movie was controlled by the Republican party, and it had a POV of it's own: that CBS was a liberal media organization out to get President George Bush.

Yet their own report showed there was no political bias in the reporting. And more importantly, Mary Mapes won multiples awards for her 60 Minutes Report on Abu Grave. CBS fired her - if they had to sacrifice anyone with a firing, it will be the woman, and it was.

Of course, despite her award-winning journalism. And now I understand why Dan Rather is on Sirius Radio - no one can tell him what to say or do ever. Most importantly - despite the war against a few documents, the investigative journalists proved independently that what was said in them was an accurate picture of history.

That's what matters. Of course, in Texas, the truth rarely matters -- think JFK and LBJ.
