Review of Trumbo (2015) by Sean G — 05 Jan 2016
This lazy depiction of screenwriter Dalton Trumbo needed the real Dalton Trumbo to jazz up the painfully obvious dialogue. Not a single character comes off as legit, either by not having anything to do (poor Diane Lane just stands there with a stupid smile on her face) or by overplaying what little they have been given (Bryan Cranston's hammy performance would only seem believable on stage, from the back row of the third balcony).
