Review of Trumbo (2015) by Alexander G — 25 Feb 2016
Trumbo, a biopic of Dalton Trumbo, who found success screenwriting during the forties became famous for movies such as Roman Holiday and Spartacus. Dalton Trumbo was key player in The Hollywood Ten, a group that found themselves blackballed out of Hollywood and arrested for their Communist beliefs.
Bryan Cranston gives a well crafted performance in a film that shows another side of Hollywood, a darker and unforgiving period of time. With good performances and direction, Trumbo should be a must watch for movie watchers interested to learn some history of Hollywood.
