Review of Truly Madly Deeply (1991) by Kristine T — 07 Feb 2009
Basically, it's like Ghost, but British... and better. It shows a (dare I say) 'realistic' portrayal of what it's like to lose someone you love -as well as yourself in the process. Fantastic performance from both leads; Stevenson gives an amazingly convincing performance and Rickman provides just the right amount of comedic release to compliment the grieving.
A beautiful, thought provoking film -a far more clever and sophisticated alternative to the romantic/action of Ghost. In a strange way, it's like Ghost but for adults.
