Written by Quentin Tarantino but directed by Tony Scott, you can see the Tarantino style come though in the dialogue and storyline. But the style and cinematography is uniquely different than all the films Tarantino has directed.

Clarence Worley (Christian Slater) is just a regular guy who works at a comic book store, he enjoys Elvis Presley and Kung Fu movies at the Grindhouse theater. On his birthday Clarence's employer sets him up with a call girl named Alabama (Patricia Arquette), the two instantly hit it off and fall in love. But when Clarence tries to emancipate Alabama from her psychotic pimp Drexel (Gary Oldman), he accidentally runs out with a suitcase full of cocaine thinking it is Alabama's clothes. Now the two are on the run from some very dangerous criminals and have to figure out what to do with all the drugs they stole.

Cristian Slater and Patricia Arquette have great on-screen chemistry and give solid performances. Gary Oldman and Christopher Walken both give chilling performances as the two main antagonists. Altogether great movie with really good character development, and the plot flows very well.
