Review of True Romance (1993) by Max O — 05 Jun 2014
This is a slice of pure pop heaven, done Tarantino style, in what perhaps is one of his best screenplays to date. Christian Slater has had some good roles in his career, and although his star faded fast, it shines bright in this film.
This also Tony Scott's best film and he truly does justice to Tarantino's chaotic story. The supporting cast has some of the most memorable scenes in film history, including Christopher Walken, Gary Oldman, Dennis Hopper, and Brad Pitt.
Arquette does well to hold her own in this mostly male-driven cast.
