Review of True Romance (1993) by David R — 27 Aug 2012
I saw this in the theater on its second day. The theater was empty. Seriously not a single person was in there. After it was over, I watched it again. When it came out on VHS I bought it. When it came out on DVD I bought it.
When it was released again as a Directors Cut, I bought it. I used Walken's monologue as my performance piece in my theater class. This is Tarantino's best script, and Tony Scott's best film.
I tried to run it during movie night in law school. A friend of mine declined, not wanting to watch a movie called "True Romance" with a bunch of guys. I laughed him out of my house.
