Review of True Romance (1993) by Fernando D — 05 Apr 2013
A Tarrantino written film that despite not being directed by the man certainly competes well with his early work. As things unravel it becomes more entertaining as it moves on, the basic premise lifted by the trademark dialouge and soundtrack, an ensemble cast performing memorable small parts around the solid central lead performances.
Credit to Tony Scott for keeping the directional style not-all-that-far removed and delivering some jaw-dropping violent scenes.
