Why do people find this film so entertaining? If it wasn't directed by James Cameron then surely it would be viewed as a mediocre action film. Sure, the dialogue may occasionally raise a smile, as is Arnold Schwarzenegger's tired but energetic acting, but it seems a shame that a director with such an incredible track record would agree to make a film about an international spy trying to resolve marital problems whilst blowing up terrorists.
Story isn't Cameron's strong point, it's easy to say, but this comes off as a little disappointing. Perhaps the British BBFC version of the film was too cut for its own good.
