Review of True Lies (1994) by Matthew H — 14 Oct 2009
Quite simply, this is Arnold's best movie outside of the "Terminator" franchise. It's probably also my favourite action comedy film as it does more or less everything that you would expect from a James Bond movie and it's just fun. James Cameron is a great director, Arnold is himself, as always, Jamie Lee Curtis is good as the unsuspecting wife and Tom Arnold's comedic talent is put to good use here. Also look out for a very young Eliza Dushku before she appeared in Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
If you want one of the better action movies from the 90's, this is up there, it's so hard to dislike the over the top fun that True Lies offers and any Arnold Schwarzenegger fan should consider this essential viewing.
