Review of True Lies (1994) by Mikey P — 19 Jan 2013
The story is about Harry Tasker played by Arnold Schwarzenegger who is a workaholic with two jobs. By day, he is a computer salesman and by night, he is a secret agent working for the group called the Omega Sector.
His mousy wife Helen played by Jamie Lee Curtis who is a legal secretary is suspected by Harry for cheating so she is kidnapped who doesn't know that Harry is a secret agent after a car salesman named Simon played by Bill Paxton tries to seduce Helen by lying to her that he's really a secret agent.
Harry and his partner Gib played by Tom Arnold are now on a mission to find four nuclear warheads that have disappeared from a former Soviet republic and destroy Salim Abu Aziz played by Art Malik. Whilst not a favourite amongst the list of James Cameron movies, True Lies still carries it's identifiable Cameron formula, it's sometimes funny, the usual special effects budget and probably the last re-teaming of Schwarzenegger and Cameron.
True Lies gets a 9.5/10.
