The movie is completely over the top but, I guess, it is supposed to be. One of Arnold Schwarzenegger's better action pictures, "True Lies" contains something for everyone. It takes the absurd 80s action movie to a new level of character development as the screenplay focuses on a man fighting (in one sense) to save his family.
The film contains mesmerizing action sequences, good comedy and political intrigue. Refreshingly, none of these proceedings take themselves to seriously.
