A wife, feeling neglected, begins a half hearted affair with a used car salesman pretending to be an undercover spy. Her husband, a real spy, finds out and decides to give her a taste of spy games; this plan backfires when the couple ends up caught in a terrorist crisis.
Cameron's fun feature balances exciting action sequences and comedy in a solid and entertaining way. True Lies is a very enjoyable film that finds a way to get past its implausibilities and also give Schwarzenegger a chance to be, for once, truly and not just unintentionally funny.
