Review of True Lies (1994) by Grant M — 01 Nov 2009
Many critics busted this movie for its racism and sexism. when it was first released. There's more wrong with this movie than just that and I think Jim Cameron understood all the incorrectness of this movie and believed in the one thing that made it work.
Its ability to entertain and take audiences on a crazy adventure would put and keep butts in the seats. At the time, I wasn't sure if Tom Arnold would work as the comic relief, but it worked perfectly.
it is all absurd and fantastic. Once again Jim Cameron proved to the world that he can create a bizarre reality and make every bit of it true and exciting.
