Perfectly accurate remake of a classic western, maybe even superior to its predecessor. Jeff Bridges shows off his unique acting chops as a self-centered and arrogant loner on a deadly quest. Hailee Steinfeld's performance will definitely give her career a tremendous career-kick.
The Coen brothers created a western hit of flesh and bones, adding a bit of their peculiar sense of humor, showing that True Grit is something more than just a macho adventure film.
