While Ethan & Joel Coen hit the mark again, Hailee Stenfield (Mattie Ross) is the wind in the sails. She walks the tightrope of chemistry with the male leads and passionately self-absorbed independence.
This is a Western Classic that outshines the original version which was more of a John Wayne vehicle.
