One of the most enjoyable experiences I have had in a very long time while its not as powerful as "No coutry for old men "True Grit", the latest Coen Bros. collaboration, is a remake of itsoriginal.

With that idea in mind, it doesn't sound like a very good one. Nevertheless, the outcome is marvelous. The film packs a strong punch and once it starts with a bang, it never lets up. "True Grit" is heart-warming, suspenseful, and quite thrilling.

Sometimes even all at once. This isn't a film that you like, live, and forget. This is a movie that you love, live, and re-visit. . True Grit is pure rawness.First off, the performances are ground-breaking.

The 14-year-old, daughter victim, who serves as the main protagonist, is quite breath-taking. She is just so invested in her character, and she sells the role completely. It just goes to show that you should never underestimate child actors, unless they have the words "Jaden" and "Smith" in the same sentence.

Furthermore, Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon, and Josh Brolin are awe-inspiring. All bring something exciting and fresh to the table. To top it off, the script is very well-written, and has just the right amount of zippy one-liners and rich, layered lines.

To put the cherry on top, the set designs are gorgeous. Not to mention, this film is very well paced. Scenes don't occur too fast or slow.
