I think the characters are even stronger in this film than the original. Jeff Bridges is one of my favorite actors just because he was and always will be "the dude". But even at that he did a bang up job in this film as did the rest of the cast.
Very interesting and it keeps your attention that's for sure. This film has a lot of heart under the "gritty" surface as well.
