A remake that flat out beats the stuffing out of the original, True Grit is blessed with a talented cast, the genius of the Coen Brothers and enough modern implication to allow it be it's own thing.
Just a question, why is Hailee Steinfeld being nominated for Best Supporting Actress? She's the main character and is in every scene, she should be nominated for Best Actress...how do you get that wrong? Because she's a kid? That's kind of harsh, isn't it? Miss Steinfeld, are you pissed about this? Because I think you ought to be.
