Review of True Grit (2010) by Darkknightv — 25 Dec 2010
I think the best word to describe "True Grit" is entertaining. The dialogue throughout is clever and I was surprised by how many times I laughed throughout. At the same time, the main plot (a fourteen-year-old girl tries to catch the man who killed her father by enlisting an aging lawman with little regard for rules or niceties) is serious, exciting, and suspenseful.
I enjoyed the western feel, with impressive landscapes matched by its musical score, and I thought the acting was great all around.
