Review of Trouble with the Curve (2012) by Robert H — 28 Nov 2013
Despite a talented cast, Trouble with the Curve is a average drama that will probably be forgotten about in a couple of years. First time director Robert Lorenz, who has worked with Clint Eastwood on numerous projects before, does a descent job at keeping the film interesting throughout it with his direction.
The cast here, like I said before, are very talented and are the best part about this movie. Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams and much of the supporting cast do a great job with what they are given. On the other hand, the weakest aspect of the movie is the script.
The story is very cliche and something we have seen many times already. The dialogue is equally as bad, most of the things said seems to come out as cheesy and sub par. In the end, Trouble with the Curve is a derivative drama that is ok but should be check out if you are a fan of any of the cast members.
