Review of Trouble with the Curve (2012) by Patrick K — 03 Apr 2014
Clint Eastwood plays a jurassic baseball scout for MLB's Atlanta Braves organization facing a strikeout on 3 straight pitches; his eyesight, his job, and relationship with his daughter (Amy Adams).
A weak, underperforming line-up, including John Goodman and Justin Timberlake, never makes solid contact on the ball with the fat part of the bat (or amon...gst viewers). This isn't a baseball movie but instead a continuation of Eastwood's anger from "Gran Torino"--only angrier and even less happy about his life and those in it.
Sadly, this movie had a few runners in scoring position but squandered them trying to advance a low OBP relationship between Adams and Timberlake. The "Trouble With The Curve" is that is misses the strike zone entirely and left me wanting to go to my bullpen early.
Scoreboard: E1 (Error - Pitcher).
