Review of Trouble with the Curve (2012) by Marina N — 20 Jan 2013
Ultimately, I arrived at the conclusion that there must be something about Clint Eastwood movies that I don't understand. So far, every one of his movies that I watched I found moderately entertaining and highly over-rated.
This is exactly what I think about "Trouble with curve". Even as a die-hard fan of films centered around baseball, I found this movie only mildly interesting. It's true that this movie is not primarily a baseball movie but rather a character study of a father-daughter relationship but, nevertheless, there should have been more life to it.
It's not a total waste of time, mainly due to the great Amy Adams and John Goodman, but is a good DVD investment at best.
