Review of Trouble in Paradise (1932) by Brad S — 08 Oct 2016
Classic 1932 comedy from director Ernst Lubitsch is really funny and still feels fresh all these years later. Lubitsch was known for being technically superior and bring a light touch to his films, often referred to as "the Lubitsch touch" and it is on full display here.
The film follows 2 con artists who follow in love and plan to rob a perfume executive, but the guy falls for her creating a love triangle. The film is funny, fast past, and directed with style. It's considered an all-time classic for a reason.
