Review of Trouble Every Day (2001) by Charlie F — 14 Dec 2008
Trouble Every Day is not a movie for everyone. Although I have seen more graphic films, the images in this movies and the concepts behind them are quite shocking and gruesome. The film explores the darkest side of sexual appetites and more than that, the difficulty of the character to deal with an illness that lies on desire and could destroy the person he loves the most.
The exploration of this feeling and the struggle of the character are very well developed and transmitted to the viewer, making you feel the dilemma the character lies on. However, the film has some details I didn't like.
One of this details is for instance the reaction of the victims when they are attacked, specially the first guy. Also, I think although there seems to be a plot, at the end it doesn't seem to conclude anything, which is not bad on its own, but I didn't like.
Still an interesting film to watch.
