Review of Tropic Thunder (2008) by Tyler Q — 20 May 2012
By the time the opening credits began rolling, my sides were already hurting from laughing so hard. And the best part is that the laughs keep coming throughout the duration of the movie.
Robert Downey Jr.'s performance is just plain fantastic. It's great that he's finally getting the recognition he deserves. (Newly converted Downey Jr. fans, make sure to check out Kiss Kiss Bang Bang!!) Stiller and Black are also in top form. And, being a huge fan of Undeclared and the Apatow gang, I was thrilled to see Jay Baruchel in the movie.
This film lives up to the hype. Check it out as soon as you can before people start mindlessly quoting it (and they will, believe you me!!).
