Review of Tropic Thunder (2008) by The Critic ( — 02 May 2013
Ben Stiller has put together a fun (though unexceptional) satire that more often than not hits the funny bone.
It's the sort of film that feels like it was written during a boys' night in, where politically incorrect jokes were shared over a lot of beer and pizza, though great performances from all concerned (Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Cruise are particularly solid) keep the momentum going.
