Review of Troop 491: the Adventures of the Muddy Lions (2013) by Bloodywhitetrap . — 11 Sep 2014
Now this is a indie movie that has a powerful ideal that aired earlier in the year on up the channel now the movie is about a young teen who lives with his mom his dad is in prison he is creative and forced to join a scout troop and one night sees a man killed and the killer knows him and where he lives he is left with a difficult decision however I do like that and like that the movie looks gritty and the camera is positioned in such a way I feel like I'm in the street too but a lot in this movie could have been edited out the scout scenes seemed dragged out and irrevelant to the story and I wish the movie dived deeper into the mindset of the lead character I feel like it doesn't and the ending was absolutely awful and boring the movie felt like it built up to nothing the ending should have been so more memorable the troop stuff should have been edited but overall decent movie for what it is fairly good for a indie film and what im assuming is a directional debut.
