Review of TRON: Legacy (2010) by Philip S — 23 Feb 2013

There's not much I can say about this film, really. There's various things I could talk about, but because I found it rather boring and not very engaging I only have fractions of the film in my mind. I don't find it very memorable at all.

Instead, all I can do is break down the various elements of the film here and there despite how vague it would appear:

- Futuristic scenery to me is rather bland. Nothing too fancy or special about it, really. I wonder if this is what gave 343 Industries the idea for creating the new alien force in Halo 4. Also, the CGI version of young Jeff Bridges' face looked rather odd in some places despite the fact that there were scenes that had him looking almost top-notch.

- Script overall was poor. Very predictable. Little to no development, both story-wise and character-wise. Also includes cliches and overused phrases here and there.

- Acting was all over the place. Very wobbly, too. Michael Sheen seemed to be the only one who was not sleepwalking the entire thing.

- Music on the other hand was an enjoyable listen. Better than a lot of contemporary music composers and artists that are out there.

I can't say much else, really. It's boring, pointless, not very memorable, and not very well thought-out. Which is why I can't write this review in full detail. And I have no intention in watching the film again.
