Review of TRON: Legacy (2010) by Matthew A — 30 Jun 2013
A visual spectacular movie. But in saying that as far as plot and acting goes, it's not four star material, in fact the plot alone might scrap two. However the reason I'm rating this four is down to three major outstanding factors.
First and foremost the gargantuan and cinematic visual style is breath-taking, the director has kept the style loyal to the original but has clearly taken inspiration from 2001: Space Odyssey for some set areas, the overall result is a truly cinematic experience.
Second of all the soundtrack scored by Daft Punk is perfect for the movie, offering a unique audio experience for the audience. And lastly the cinematography, for a film mainly based in a computer generated environment it has some truly beautiful camera work involved.
