Review of TRON: Legacy (2010) by Fred V — 14 Jul 2014

Whilst the characters and plot weren't as well developed as they could have been, especially as someone who didn't see the first film, this is a fantastic effort. The visuals and special effects are something to marvel at, and the fight sequences, weapons and tech are all original and thrilling to look at.

Aside from a few obvious visual references to Star Wars, this was far from a run of the mill Sci-Fi adventure. For the film's length, the amount of it spend in the Grid was too much, and I thought more could have been spent developing the characters in the real world.

In the end though, this doesn't take away from the film's greatness, which thankfully lacks the typically over-the-top romantic ending. A must see!
