Better than the original: This movie trades the first one's religious allegory to a anti-Nazi one, which is kinda weird but it works within the context of the film. The film as a whole feels a lot more developed than the original, which is good as the original, to me felt like concepts looking for a better movie.
A lot of people note the seemingly bad CGI used for Jeff Daniels however I did not notice a problem, plus within the actual movie there is an explanation for it.
