Review of TRON: Legacy (2010) by Enaid N — 22 Jun 2016
It is incredibly stunning to look at. From its pristine cinematography to impressive production design, unique costumes, and dazzling visual effects, on a technical level Tron: Legacy is a great-looking film.
It features some likeable actors including a scene-stealing Olivia Wilde. The weakest part of the film is the story. I'm a sucker for a good father-and-son, mother-and-daughter, dysfunctional family drama, and I did find the relationship between Jeff Bridges and Garrett Hedlund compelling.
The rest of the film, although it is entertaining, I found it somewhat dull. In the end, it is still fun to watch, but personally I wanted it to be more cerebral and thought-provoking.
