Yes, we all know it had sub-par acting, but it was a film way before its time. I tell "younger" folks that all the CGI (which wasn't even called that back in 1982) was not rendered real-time, in the sense that programmers had to load the data and wait hours if not days to see the result.

I had my last dose of chemo on August 11, 1982, and a week later two friends of mine took me to see this in NYC.
