The plot is there, but the film can't figure out how to naturally make that last 90 minutes, instead infusing it with random songs and dance sequences that don't progress the plot or character development.
The character arcs are forced and the sense of humor gross and unnatural. The voice acting is alright, but instead of being an alright movie with a poignant message it feels rushed while simultaneously being boring and laughable when it comes to randomly spitting out plot points.
