Review of Trolls (2016) by Aaron V — 09 Nov 2016
Dreamworks Animation once again makes me bored to tears with their latest attempt to make a decent film since Puss in Boots. Trolls combines some of the dumbest comedy i've seen in a movie. I felt like the filmmakers went to a kindergarten and asked little kids what kind of jokes would make a movie about trolls funny.
Im not even kidding, the movie has some of the most kindergarten humor that you can think of. For example, in one scene when the burgans arrive in the little Trolls town, one of the trolls gets so scared that he poops out cupcakes.
Then Popy ( Anna Kendrick) give it to the monster as a treat. Yeah comic gold rich there. Sure the movie does have a decent cast with Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake. But, the problem of the movie is the story and the humor.
The Humor is awful and the story is boring and dull. If you're going to tell a story then you have to make it interesting and not just throwing it out there. Trolls is Average and I don't recommend it.
