Review of Trolls (2016) by Duncan P — 12 Feb 2017
While, at times, it can be read subversively as a satire of how depressives see overly happy people (in short: fucking annoying, stupid as hell, and completely incapable of understanding anything remotely unpleasant with a "just choose to be happy" attitude), it plays itself far too straight, is far too twee, and basically just becomes an annoying, over-colourful mess that completely undermines the idea that it is, actually, sometimes okay to not be okay - a problem for this former psych student.
