Film criticism should be thrown out the window when watching Troll 2. As a piece of art, it is a complete failure in every way. As an experience, it's about as good as it gets, mainly because of the extreme sincerity and complete lack of self-awareness in every shot.
It's a strangely preachy, poorly acted, beautiful disaster.
