Review of Troll (1986) by Kevin C — 10 Aug 2008
Shockingly funny and entertaining is a dirt cheap, dumpster diving sort of level. I laughed out loud several times at either intentional or unintentional humor.
The casting is inspired, the set pieces make it look like the film was shot at an old ladies' craft store and the script is ridiculous and completely owns it.
I went in expecting the worst and I came out pleasantly surprised and, to my amazement, entertained!
Not an incredible film, but certainly not the worst out of the trash I've seen. Pleasant, easy fun that has an irresistible wickedly non-p.c. humor streak to it, Troll is a piece of trash worth digging out.
