Review of Triumph of the Will (1935) by Mike M — 01 Aug 2007
This is a powerful film that shows the ability of the film art medium's potential to be used as a powerful tool of persuasion. This film is a must see for any film student or history major. The film itself is actually very inspirational and you might watch it and say to yourself, "This Hitler guy ain't that bad".
Then you give your head a shake and say "Wow, that film sure was powerful". The film is perfect at doing what it was designed to do. Watch this film and then use the powers of observation that you develop to criticize current political agendas.
You will see a shocking similarity in the tactics used 70 years ago to those still used in advertisements today by political candidates.
