Review of Trinidad (1943) by Lauri W — 03 Sep 2008
This is a good little independent movie with lots of heart and fascinating subjects in the three main women. I felt like it was a little long. Some cutting could have made it tighter.
There is a scene where they ask children of the town what it means to be a man and what it means to be a woman. I felt that tack is cliched. I really wanted to know what it meant to the Laura, Marci and Sabrina to be female. Even though they've always felt female on the inside, they have been outsiders for most of their lives.
