Review of Trilogy of Terror (1968) by Israel V — 08 May 2008
As I am sure many other reviewers have said, I saw this movie when I was a child of 8 or 9 and it scared the living hell out of me. I don't remember the first two segments at all, but that doesn't matter. I will never forget the third as long as I live! Imagine being a kid and watching this alone in your room without your parents permission. I had been told I couldn't watch this movie which of course made me want to! From the first moment that little Zuni bastard zips across the floor after Amelia I was transfixed and terrified! I couldn't turn away from the screen or run to my parents and tell them I was scared. I WAS TRAPPED!! In this one until the end, and OMG what an ending! When I saw that close up of her crouching on the floor by the door with those FREAKING TEETH! I Freaked!!! I turned on all my lights in my room, didn't sleep, pulled the covers off my bed so I could look underneath and got in the center of my room on a damn footstool! I shoved all my GI Joe crap in the closet and every other thing that even slightly reminded me of the freaking Zuni!
Easily one of my most memorable childhood TV moments!
Don't miss it!
